My Shopping Trip 12/4/10

Wow the stores were busy! It was nuts out there. I went quite a few places today, and it took me forever! I decided to check out the two dollar stores in town, it was interesting. I hit Dollar General, the discount foods store, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Price Chopper and Grand Union. Whew! I'm tired all over again just reading that list! LOL Here's the rundown of each:

Dollar General:
Got us a little Christmas tree for $5! hehe

total - $.50 ea
Raisins 8 pk - $1.35

Canned veggies - $.50 X6

Total OOP here was $18.34. I thought the canned veggies were a pretty good deal as PC and GU store brand are usually $.67 to $.69. Also loved the deal on the Frank's, hubby has been wanting some, and it was a good price. :)

Total OOP here was $9.47. I really just went here for the Goya and kitty litter, but found a few other good deals so I snagged them!

Walmart:
No real steals or deals here. Diapers for DD, apple juice, Goldfish crackers, and litter box liners. Total OOP was $21.40. If I didn't need diapers I probably would have skipped Walmart this week.

Meh. I mean I got good deals on stuff and all, but I still wasn't thrilled with the final OOP. Not to mention that I actually had two sets of three tripler coupons and I just couldn't go back in there again to use the second set. :( Kinda bummed, but I sat in the car for a while trying to think what else to really get that we needed and I couldn't come up with a thing! So I left. LOL

Grand Union:
Marcal Small Steps napkins - $1.99 X2
used $1/2 doubled

And I actually just noticed that I got some clearance bakery apple bites that were $1.99 with a $1 off coupon and they didn't ring them up. I have them, they must not have scanned them. Oh well. Total OOP here was $21.23.

That's all she wrote! It was a loooong day. I got a late start to begin with, then the stores were an absolute zoo... made for a very un-relaxing shopping trip. LOL
