My Shopping Trip 9/18/10

Had some expiring coupons to get used up today, so hit 4 places this week. Dicount Foods store, Walmart, Price Chopper and Grand Union. Still working on cleaning out the freezer, so it was mainly shopping for deals this week and not really any dinner staples. Although I did pick up some stockpile stuff to add to our growing pile of backstock. :) Here's the rundown of the stores:

Discount Foods:

Picked up 2 gallons of milk, eggs, cake mix and frosting for DD's birthday, corned beef hash, Goldfish crackers, grapes, family pack of pork chops, and some Gerber prunes for DD.

Holy savings Batman!! LOL I shocked myself with that total. I saved almost double what I spent. Very, very happy with this trip! :)

Also got a soda for the road, salt, sugar, limes, can mushrooms, beer for hubby and pineapple juice while I was there. Total OOP was $52.39. Combined Grand Savings and coupons savings were only $27.10. But again, considering $16.00 of that total is beer, not bad overall!

Got lots of stuff today, back of the mama-wagon was full! Stocked up on lots of staples for the pantry, so I'm happy with that. :)
