Back from my Blog vacation! :)

Yup, it's true!  I'm back and ready to post the deals!  LOL  The Price Chopper ad preview and matchups will be up today, and the rest will follow shortly!  Glad to be back and hope you are all ready for the deals!  :)

Time for a hiatus...

My apologies to my followers, but I have had some personal things that have come up that I need to deal with and I find the need to take a short hiatus from my blog.  In the meantime, I highly recommend my good friend's blog New England Extreme Couponing for all your matchup and great deal info!  He has a fantastic blog that not only covers all the New England stores, but nationwide as well.  He and I have been working together for about a year now, and I can't recommend him higher!  Great guy, great deals and great blog!  I plan on being back in a while, but I need to focus on more important things for the moment.  Thank you for your understanding and for your visits over the years.  I WILL be back!  :)  Happy shopping!

Sorry, ended up as more than a delay...

My apologies for no posts this past week, we have had a heck of a week.  As per my last post, our awesome family basset hound is not doing well health-wise and we are spending his last days making him as comfortable and as loved as possible while he is still on this earth.  We also had a 21 year old cat that reached her end of days and passed away in my arms Tuesday morning, RIP my sweet fur-baby.  So I have been a tad preoccupied, my apologies.  Getting back in the swing of things this week and will be posting my usual deals and matchups.  Thank you so much for your patience and well-wishes during this sad time, it is much appreciated.  :)

Sorry, delay on matchups this weekend

Our family is having to say goodbye to our much loved family dog this weekend.  He is not just our pet, but a huge part of our family, we never went anywhere without him.  We are very sad and will be spending as much time with him as we can with the little time we have left.  Thank you for understanding and I will get the matchups done and posted as soon as I can.

All We Want for Christmas? - Shop Local This Holiday Season!

My aunt just posted this on FB and I thought it was great! Not to mention some really good (local) gift ideas!

As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods -- merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor.

This year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift giving time, nothing can be ...found that is produced by American hands. Yes there is!

It's time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper?

Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates from your local American hair salon or barber?

Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.

Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates.

We love this holiday around our house!  My hubby would keep the Halloween decorations up all year `round if I let him!  LOL  This is also the first year trick or treating with DD, she is going to have a blast!  I expect the sugar coma from all the candy to hit by about 8 pm....  ;) 
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!  Watch out for the little ghouls and goblins when you are out and about tonight, and if you have little ghouls and goblins yourself, make sure they have their glosticks/flashlights/reflective tape so they can be seen!
